Raising the standard
of care for children
and young people

Discover a practice rooted in reflection, relationship, and emotional growth.
Founded in 2022, LIFE (Living Interdependent Focused Environment) offers a psychologically informed, trauma-responsive home for children and young people aged 10–17 who require a more relational and therapeutic approach to care.
At LIFE, we believe every child deserves the space to explore and express their life experiences without fear of judgment or the risk of placement breakdown due to the complexity of their needs. We remain steadfast through each child’s challenges, acting as a secure base until a meaningful relationship is formed—one that helps reframe how they view their past, make sense of their present, and build trust in their future.
LIFE is proud to be among the first children’s homes actively embedding Psychologically Informed Care as a core intervention. Drawing on the frameworks of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and psychologically Informed Practice (PIP), we offer evidence-based, reflective, and relational care. We are currently preparing our application to become an accredited Enabling Environment ( accredited by Royal Psychiatry ) , further grounding our commitment to high-quality, emotionally attuned practice.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our unique therapeutic model, our commitment to emotional recovery, and how we sustain placements by meeting young people where they are—both emotionally and developmentally.
